Happy belated birthday mum :)

Well visited an art exhibition in the afternoon today as my dad's friend had her artworks displayed so we paid it a visit. It was an eye-opener and my dad's friend's being offered about 25,000 bucks for her painting by this anonymous hotel. ooooh. A pity i doubt i possess such talent. If not won't it be having the best of both worlds? Getting to paint (which i would most probably love if i was talented at), and earning big bucks. Anyway, check out the pictures below. familiar? No, i wasnt somehow in some jet hovering over ngee ann city. It's a...

................................................

duh it's a model right? haha. Well it's on a scale of 1:200.

Well, mum wanted to give Marmalade Pantry a try ever since we had the j2 farewell at the same place. So, we made reservations and had mum's birthday lunch there. Thank goodness we made reservations because the place was packed. People who arrived without reservations had about at least an hour to wait. Anyway, we had this really cozy place, different from where the tennis team had our farewell.. it was awfully cold though.

These are a few pictures of what we had.. I can't possibly recall the names of all these main courses so i'm awfully sorry!heh.

Irina's!

Jie's meal

yeah i know it looks a lil.. well.. vegetarian. Well, it's a salad. so.

Mum's lamb shank!! (best i should think.)
meat was really tender and there was mashed potato at the bottom.. not just normal mashed potato though. it was kidna like mashed potato with cabbage in it? really nice.

yeah course the sticky date pudding too :)

We ordered two sticky date puddings and an apple and ... err. something crumble. Didnt snap a shot of it but the former's still divine. Dad had salmon teriyaki with soba. It looked really good. Didnt give it a try but the sliver of salmon was really thick and dad's verdict was that it's really fresh n yummy. haha. ooh. Well, all in all, it was a lovely birthday lunch and mum enjoyed it. thats all that matters.

Went shopping since we were at orchard and we made a few purchases.

we sighted this amidst shopping. aw. what a cute little cake isnt it. wrong.

irina and i were curiously looking around at the packaging for any indication of what it was.

ok. second chance. here's a closer look.

well. apparently they're briefs. haha. dont worry though i didnt get any as a christmas present for anyone whatsoever so you guys could breathe a sigh of relief. it's interesting though. creative. haha. saw this lovely xmas guess gift set. its like 100 over bucks though. haha so forget bout it.

a Christmas spend in Singapore really isn't bad at all. Though of course a white christmas would be ideal.. but honestly. Though as stated in the papers, hong kong might be the destination for shopping. Singapore's the place for living.

Been out quite a lot recently with mum and Irina, doing some christmas shopping as we always do every end of year. We've been spending quite a bomb in the last two shopping trips we've made. I'm sure Irina was very happy with her spending recently. As much as our hearts ache when we make payment, it's only once a year! right?

Well, after a long day of walking at vivo on Tuesday, took a break to rest our feet at coffeebean. Starbucks's really incomparable to coffeebean in my opinion. Tried my very first mud pie. haha. Believe it or not. Yeah though it's from the coffeebean but they heated it up for us and it was choco-heaven :) utter bliss.

:)

Played tennis quite a few times this week. Training has been pretty much slack lately owing to the fact we are coach-less but at least we pushed ourselves this week and ran the 8 rounds on wed. Since Irina doesnt' have training at rg this week due to spex, she's been requesting i play with her at the club or downstairs. Helped her warm up on Sunday before her spex match.

home's visible from here actually.

that's all I could muster.

PS: never knew RAIN was that big. even in the Big Apple. wow.

Seniors' farewell last Friday at Marmalade Pantry.. (finally. after all the arrangements) I'm way too lazy to blog about what happened exactly so here are just 2 pictures.. I've uploaded the rest on flickr.

the team.

kids from student care center

gosh i'm freaking lazy to blog. so much has happened over the weekend. especially on friday. had CIP at the student care center beside Yu Neng Primary on friday. It was a pretty daunting task considering I'm not exactly very popular with kids. But the kids slowly warmed up and some of them actually were quite cute despite their mischievousness. the bunch of us then headed to the park nearby n fed some mosquitoes.ahem.

well i'm awfully lazy to continue anyhow. just been down with the flu lately.. but i've still been training here and there a little to keep up the stamina and stuff.

went to vivocity with mum n irina yesterday.. did some impulse shopping and got myself a wallet. and i realise. I have absolutely no need for one now. oh dearrrr. well, mum got herself a bag AND a wallet. so. haha. gave Superdog a try too since everywhere else was pretty much packed. Gotta say it seriously pales in comparison with carls junior. what with the similarities like the chilli cheese fries.. an obvious rip off from carls junior's chilli beef fries. well that's about it.

everything'll be fine. it'd heal i'm sure :)
